Supporting your transition to our care home
Moving from home into any care environment is an extremely difficult decision. The reluctance to make the move, the uncertainty of what lies ahead and the fear of the unknown are all genuine and understandable concerns.
Here at The Meadows, the staff are acutely aware of the problems and anxieties moving into care can bring. They will support your transition sensitively with compassion and understanding. All our staff have the knowledge, experience and skills of dealing with the issues and concerns surrounding such an important change, for which reason they will offer you constant support and guidance.
daily life at our care home
Life at The Meadows is not just about receiving great care, but about enjoying the things in life that you have always enjoyed doing. We have a dedicated set of staff, including carers, senior carers, catering staff and domestic staff who all have a passion for what they do and endeavour to make this care home the most amazing care home with an experience for all those in it to treasure.
The staff are at the heart of any care home, and we believe that by only hiring the best we will continue to be one of the best care homes for many years to come.
Relax a little
The home has been thoughtfully designed with a welcoming porch that leads into a spacious lobby. Here, you'll find charming touches such as a standing Beefeater, a classic Victorian phone box, a traditional post box, and beautifully illuminated murals of iconic London landmarks, all helping to create a bright and open atmosphere.
From the lobby, wide corridors extend, lined with sensory boards featuring sporting memorabilia and displays of actors and actresses from the 1950s and 1960s. There's an additional sitting room and communal lounge, filled with nostalgic household items and a musical board for residents to enjoy. The cinema room is decorated with images of beloved celebrities, while the dining area is brought to life with a delightful blend of murals and clever illusions that evoke the feel of a café, sweet shop, convenience store, and greengrocer.
Outside, residents can relax in the garden's gazebo, furnished with comfortable seating, or tend to the flower beds, nurturing a variety of plants and flowers. For everyone's safety and peace of mind, the home is secured with electronic coded pads, robust surrounding walls, and lockable gates to ensure residents remain safe at all times. All communal areas are monitored by 14 CCTV cameras, with recordings kept for added security.
